In 1969, Anastasios 'Tasos' Boosalis moved from Greece to the United States. He attended Oskaloosa High School.
In his senior, Tasos learned his craft working at Paul's Pizza and eventually bought the restaurant in 1974.
In 1989, Tasos and his wife, Chris, opened a restaurant in his own name, "Tasos' Steakhouse", in Knoxville. It was a hit
providing a wide variety of great food, at fair prices. In 1991, Tasos' brother-in-law, Leo Kirk, joined the family team as
co-owner in Knoxville.
A growing demand for Tasos' food in Oskaloosa led them, along with Tasos and Chris's son, Yoti, to open a new restaurant,
on St. Patrick's Day 1998. In 2001, their daughter, Elaine, and her husband, Jon, joined the team. In 2006, Elaine and Jon purchased
the restaurant from Yoti and became sole owners of the store.
More than a decade after joining the team, Elaine and Jon remain committed to providing the same quality food, friendly service, and competitive prices,
in a unique family atmosphere.
